Google Now Makes Cord Cutting Even Easier

Ever have a hard time finding the streaming service with your favorite show? Google has made it easy to find your show just by “Googling.”

When you look for a show in Google searches, such as “Dancing With The Stars,” along with details of the show the sidebar will list streaming services with the show. For example, when we look for “Dancing With The Stars,” Google lists it as free on the Watch ABC app or available on Hulu with a subscription.

Now it is far from perfect, because it often tries to push services that will sell you the show. This likely happens because Google lists the most recent episodes that are typically only available for sale and not yet on Netflix. However, even when the show is on Hulu it seems to list services, such as Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, and Google Play, to have you buy the show before it suggests a subscription service.

Although this seems to be a fairly young service from Google it is definitely a great tool for cord cutters. Hopefully Google continues to develop it.
