Recent DIRECTV NOW has been adding locals in a growing list of markets. Today AT&T announced that you will find that DIRECTV NOW has over 100 local channels including at least ABC, FOX or NBC in 50 markets. Additionally, DIRECTV NOW offers Telemundo in at least 15 markets.
The big news today is that AT&T said that they plan to triple the lineup of locals by the end of August 2017 compared to what they had at launch. This is all from a statement emailed to Cord Cutters News. DIRECTV NOW did not list what locals would be added but it is likely to include most Fox, NBC, and ABC affiliates. This would make DIRECTV NOW the service with the most locals.
Update: We updated this story to make it more clear that they are tripling the number of locals compared to what they had at launch.
So hang tight we are likely going to see a lot of locals added to DIRECTV NOW over the coming weeks.
