The CW – Our Roku Channel of The Week

Once again we are bringing back our weekly Roku Channel recommendations. (Don’t worry we are also going to do weekly Apple TV, Fire TV, and Android TV recommendations.) Do you have a service you think we should recommend? Leave us a comment and let us know.

Here is our quick look at The CW on Roku:

Watch the series premiere of Riverdale now on The CW App. Instantly watch any CW show for free anytime you want. The CW is the only place to see superheroes like Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, award-winning comedies like Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, new shows like No Tomorrow and Frequency, and fan favorites like Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, iZombie, The 100, Reign, and The Originals. Watch every episode the day after it airs for free. Or, if you get behind, we’ll always have the last 5 aired episodes available so you can catch up. You don’t need a cable subscription, a credit card or anyone’s password because there’s no login. Ever. Just add the channel and get streaming.

    Love iZombie!

I really like a lot of shows on The CW. But, I’m sorry their Roku app sucks. It’s the only Roku channel that I’ve had continuous problems with watching shows. Very frustrating!

Last 5 episodes? How does a cord cutter start a CW series more than 5 episodes old?

It might be worth $1/month for all on demand series current and past from last two decades.

Otherwise this free offering seems like an obligatory compliment to a packaged subscription with on demand.

Netflix has all the CW shows.

I do love the CW app – even though we get two CW stations pretty well. But, having their shows arrive on Netflix so soon after the season ends has somewhat changed the way I watch a few of their shows. As an example, I am now watching the latest season of iZombie via Netflix, and I plan on trying Riverdale out the same way. But, I watch Flash & Arrow via the CW app.
