Comet TV (The Over The Air TV Network) Now Streams FREE Online & On Roku

Comet TV is a free over-the-air TV station owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. It is known for airing classic and newer sci-fi shows and movies from popular classics such as “Outer Limits” and “Mystery Science Theater 300” to lesser known shows such as “Men into Space.”

It even has rights to “Stargate SG-1” that its website says will be returning on April 5, 2017. It also has a huge list of movies such as the 1984 film The Terminator.

Now Comet TV is leading the way into a brand-new realm: streaming free online. This week Comet TV launched a live stream on its website and on a brand-new Roku channel. (Update: Also on Apple TV)

Hopefully Comet TV will set a trend for other networks, such as Me TV and Antenna TV, to start offering free live streams of their channels. Sinclair own other networks including the new Charge! TV network and the TBD TV network. Hopefully Sinclair launches these as free to stream channels.

Sinclair recently also agreed to buy the Tennis Channel. Hopefully for tennis fans Sinclair will launch a new streaming option for the Tennis Channel to cord cutters who don’t want to pay for a traditional pay-TV service.

You can add the Comet TV channel to your Roku here: https://channelstore.roku.com/details/140565/comet-tv

Update: Two more Sinclair Broadcast Group channels are also streaming now. CHARGE! and TBD TV both have free live streams.
