Mid age woman sitting at tableAre you ready for a new fee to pop up on your bill? Well Comcast once again has invented a new fee to add to your bill. The fee is a $2 a month “Voice Technology Fee.”

“As we continue to make improvements to our products and services, and as programmers charge more to carry their networks, our cost of doing business increases,” a since-scrubbed notice on the Comcast website stated. “As a result, prices for certain services and fees will be going up, and a new Voice Technology Fee of $2 will apply to XFINITY Voice customer accounts.”

Comcast has recently been working hard to push bundled services with the promise of a less expensive rate if you sign up for more than one service; however, they won’t give you more for less. So keep in mind the hidden fees, price hikes after the short-term promotional rate ends, and taxes.

If you really want a voice service we recommend checking out Ooma or other similar services. No longer will you have to worry about what fee will be hidden on your bill. You also don’t need to worry about when your price will jump.
