Update: Sling TV just contacted Cord Cutters News to say the Omaha World-Herald Newspaper report was incorrect. We have full details HERE.

Today at the Big Ten Media Days in Chicago the BTN president announced that BTN would be coming to Sling TV.

In a statement Mark Silverman the president of BTN said “BTN will be available on Hulu, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV and DIRECTV NOW — all over-the-top, Internet broadcasters — coming in the fall, a decision that addresses the declining numbers in cable subscribers, particularly those younger Americans who are “cutting the cord” or not signing up for cable at all.”

Sling TV is the only major live TV streaming service right now that does not offer the Big Ten Network. No date was announced for when the Big Ten Network would join Sling TV.

Cord Cutters News has reached out to Sling TV for comment and will update this story as we learn more.
